RadioBeam is an iOS radio app for discovering and streaming live radio stations. The app does not require an account and does not run a RadioBeam-owned user tracking backend.
RadioBeam uses third-party services for station discovery, radio streaming, artwork lookup, advertising, diagnostics, and app performance/usage measurement.
RadioBeam stores app preferences locally on your device, including favorite stations, starred countries, playback-related settings, and diagnostic preferences. This data is used to make the app work and is not sold.
When you search or browse for stations, RadioBeam may use that activity to provide app functionality, such as filtering station lists and requesting station data from radio directory services. RadioBeam does not require an account for this.
RadioBeam may use approximate location or country-related information to support station discovery and app functionality. Third-party services used by the app, including advertising or analytics providers, may also process coarse location or device-related information according to their own privacy practices and your device settings. RadioBeam does not use precise location to track you across apps or websites.
When you play a station, RadioBeam connects to the station stream URL and related station services. Station providers may receive technical connection information such as your IP address, device network information, and playback request details according to their own practices.
RadioBeam uses the public Radio Browser API to discover stations and may notify Radio Browser when a station is played so station popularity and availability data can be maintained.
When stream metadata includes a likely song and artist, RadioBeam may query Apple's iTunes Search API to find matching artwork. The query can include song and artist text provided by the radio stream.
RadioBeam may show limited, non-interrupting banner ads in the iPhone app through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may process data such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, coarse location, product interaction, advertising data, diagnostics, and performance data where permitted by your device settings, consent choices, and applicable law. RadioBeam does not place full-screen ads, interstitial ads, forced ad flows, or ads in the CarPlay listening flow.
RadioBeam is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app provides access to live radio streams, and station content is controlled by the station providers.
